This retrospective draws an expressive and thoughtful picture of craftsmen in Bourj Hammoud, and initiates a cultural debate that rethinks the essence of crafts and their social foundations. The art of city making in Bourj Hammoud is an art of Armenian craftsmen who used their manual knowledge to recreate their homeland, integrate the Lebanese society, and preserve their unique identity all at once.
